Defects process ongoing

1/5/2024

The process of identifying and fixing any errors in submitted claims is ongoing. If you received an email regarding a defect, and haven’t taken action, feel free to follow the instructions to fix any issues identified. If you didn’t receive that email then just sit tight.

What’s next?

The claims administrator needs some time to review the responses to defect notices. Once complete, final determination statuses must be established and presented to the Court for approval before any payments can be authorized. While the Class Council hopes to request claim payments in the coming months, please understand that this is a complex process, and it might still be some time before payments are finalized. We hope to have an update in the coming months, for now just sit tight and we will update you as soon as something interesting happens.

Final review of documents is started

3/08/2023

The court is currently reviewing, analyzing and de-duping claims for the millions of vehicles and auto parts purchases that have been claimed. Starting in March or April, we will reach out to you if there are questions about your claim. If you don’t hear from us, we don’t need any additional information from you. While we do not yet have a date certain by which the claims process will be completed, we hope the Court to distribute funds to eligible claimants by the end of the year or early next year. Please note that this timeline is not guaranteed.
